Satan said it in "Paradise Lost" by John Milton after he got chained down to the lake of fire. he gathers his demons on the shore of this lake of fire and he gets to the end and he gives this rousing speech and he says, "I am Lord, I take command, myself am hell" And it's just like, wow.

We were hoping you guys were Europeans that didn't know any English.

It was this guy, majored in English.

Majored in English and came up with Myself Am Hell?

Four years of education in Albany just to get Myself Am Hell.

So, what's with the fangs?

I got 'em initially because when we were headlining shows back home, if there were people that were going to see other bands, we'd be like, "Yo, we're playing at midnight. Do you guys want to hang out?" They'd be like "Oh my God! You have fangs." And they would stay just to see if it was crazy or whatever. It was really just something to draw attention and get some publicity for the band.

Do you have a job back in New York?

Um, yeah, this band.

Do you like it when people come up to you and say stuff like "Myself am liking your album?"

Some people have gotten a lot more creative than that.

What kind of metal are you guys?

We're like thrash, speed metal on the technical side with death metal vocals.

Not yet, maybe if we get to Europ. We could join in, wear a little chainmail. Once we were in Canada and we were fuckin' around and there was this big church. And I didn't see that there was this big sign and it said "This Church Repels All Things Evil." And I went running up the steps chasing a balloon and I fell. I looked up and saw that big sign and I was like, "Oh fuck."

No, myself was too evil to get into that church.

Have you guys ever burned a CD in a microwave?

Our friend's mom was really really religious and she cracked our CD into a thousand pieces and set it on fire. And she also prayed that we would die in anonymity. So you guys take care of that, you're putting us on a little documentary. Screw her.

So how many t-shirts have you sold along the way to get out to California?

Actually a bunch, 'cause we're running out.

I just realized I have way less time than I thought I did, to finish this painting... hustle Dave HUSTLE!!!! hut hut!

just gave Sneaky a bath after 3 weeks, poor cat must've felt so miserable, he was pretty filthy.. he didn't even try to avoid the water like he usually does. I didn't have to subdue him. which made giving him a bath pretty easy.

I find myself going through more potentially rough waters. No longer moored, the open seas inspire feelings of apprehension and excitement. I am torn between stability and soul. I must admit though, teaching was fun. It was a learning experience for me as well as for the students. I just regret not having been able to stay longer, but I can't really complain. I'm getting what I wanted, and that was to have time to paint.

There's always a trade-off.

In any event, I'm gearing up to focus on painting and photography again. I've not been painting for far too long.

Am planning to hold a one or two man show. I think its time, and I believe I'm ready. All I really need to do now is secure the materials and begin work.

I already have a concept I'm happy with. Can't wait to begin, nor can I wait to show everyone. :)

I hope that the ill-fated roll I shot at the COG gig in Olongapo isn't a sign of things to come, or that my camera's fucked... :P Too bad that it was that roll that didn't make it.

Can't have it all.

Its been a whole week since Smeagol disappeared. :(

I just hope that he changed address and wasn't run over or made into siopao by some 2-bit roadside dimsum vendor...

*sigh* oh well...

I hope that he's alright.

miss that funny cat. The strange thing is that I doubt he'd have strayed far because my house is all he's known, he opened his eyes for the first time in doors, and he wasn't let outside to roam til he was almost fully grown.

Sometimes when I'd get home way way late, like 4 am, he would be hangin out by the front gate waitin for me.

I'm reminded of that time when I forgot my keys. I was stuck out front, it was 4am, our helpers sleep like logs so the doorbell gave on me without them so more as tossing or turning in bed. Annoyed at myself for leavin my keys, annoyed at them for not hearing the dang doorbell just outside their room... Smeagol came out front and sat next to me while I was leanin against the wall havin a cig... when he showed up he even looked up at me inquisitively. It was uncanny.

I could almost hear him say "So, what happened to you? Left yer keys eh? Tsk"

He was a bright cat. I hope he ain't roadkill.

Life is wonderful!!! I've just been told in so many words that my work on the website/new lessons and being the HKC telephone receptionist and graphic designer and general tech support man to the other teachers isn't needed. I have 2 weeks left to work. Dang, I think my sister has precognitive dreams...

It sucks to have a mental block. My decision to try using watercolor again was stopped at the door by a thick block.

:p Gotta find a way to salvage the stained half sheet of watercolor paper that I stretched. I wonder what it is, am I too deep into acrylics? or am I just rusty? *sigh*

Blugh?!!? what to do... decisions decisions...

On the bright side, I'm about to open an account and with little effort should be significantly richer by the time Santa squeezes through whatever he squeezes through to get into houses with no chimneys.

I just set my newly stretched watercolor paper to dry. Remember the girl with the rose? "Kate" hehehe Well, I cut her out.

Its gonna be fun going back to watercolor. Been years since I used that medium. Much too long.

Much too long since I picked up a paintbrush. Any paint brush... :p

I wonder where this will lead. Hmmm...

Oh, and by the way, I'm so happy about all the positive feedback I've been getting about the painting.

Have you ever felt like sometimes, in the blurriness of day-to-day life... The time when everthing is most crisp and clear it in the wee hours when your eyes are getting a bit heavy and you're having trouble focusing your eyes so then you rely on how well you can type without looking. Well, that's what I'm doing right now.

Bites to see that some people are still edgy at work... :p

Anyway, I got to see a funny MADtv spoof of Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst... The new lyrics were quite good. :)

That's about it... :p

I just found out today that I didn't make the top 200 in the photo contest... :P sucks, but oh well. I also recent noticed that the proportions of the painting I'm working on are kinda off. SO I have to rework more than I thought I would.

Fuck.

But after some stretching and airbrushing and adjusting in photoshop I made an image of what I want the finished painting to look like. I hope you like it, :) Big big thanks to Sunny D who took the photo and posted it on deviant art.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, can't from work and my connection at home runs at a whopping speed of 13-45kbps. haven't been able to post lately... obviously. hehehe :p mainly because it got blocked and I was too lazy to post anything at home. I guess I got spoiled by the faster internet at work...

I am almost done with my new painting... :) its at around 80% complete. Going to work on it for a couple of hours after I finish this post. If I get in the zone I'll finish it tonight. :)

I think I might be onto something. :) Feed back has been really good on this painting. :)
